Personal Statement:
There has been increasingly little to do as a committee member over the
past few years. I don't see that as a bad thing and still feel that
Usenet is one of the hidden gems of the Internet. I think our role may
have changed slightly from one of management to conservation but Usenet
is an important part of the gene pool of the Internet and so it's quite
right that it is conserved. Usenet will find its own level, but whatever
happens, uk.* has a reputation for quality management and if re-elected
I will do my utmost to maintain that situation.

I've been doing this job since 2005, so you should know enough about me

Personal Statement:
If re-elected I will continue to do as I have been doing, to give the
view of the ordinary user of usenet, as best I can.
The hierarchy has been running smoothly, and I hope will long continue
to do so, but should there be any problems, I will continue to work to
solve them

Votetaker's Comments
Barry:-
Once again, there has been no need to run an Election, for the third
time in four years, though in this case due to the withdrawal of a
candidate between the close of nominations and creation of a Call for
Votes.
Whilst not having to run an Election makes our job as votetakers easier,
it would have been nice to see some more candidates tossing their names
into the ring.
Other than the initial confusion regarding the handling of the tiebreak
situation, the process has run fairly smoothly, as is usually the case.
Pedt:-
I agree with Barry's comments above.

(The information in this and the following section is a copy of that
provided in the Call for Nominations)
Definition of Open Class of Membership
Any participant in the uk.* hierarchy qualifies as a candidate in the
Open class.
========================================================================
Application Requirements
Any participant in the uk.* hierarchy qualifies as a nominator for the
Open class.
Any individual may nominate a maximum of three candidates.
========================================================================
In accordance with the Committee Document, the following Open Class
Members have served a full three year term and are deemed to be retiring
from the Committee. They are eligible for re-election.
Geoff Berrow
Mark Goodge
As this results in fewer than three vacant seats, the Committee Document
states that the longest serving member(s) will retire (ties to be broken
by lot) as needed to create three vacant seats.
Fiona Gostling (aka 'Kat') has been selected by lot from herself, Graham
Drabble, Clive D. W. Feather and Matthew Vernon as having retired from
the Committee under this clause. She is eligible for re-election.
