Information: A hierarchy for discussion and announcement of local
issues and events.
These groups should complement the soc.culture.* newsgroups
(which relate to the UK) which cover larger groups
of people, and require a large "for" vote to be created.
These groups will NOT replace existing local groups such
as scot.*, lon.*, midlands.* etc. except with the full
support of their readers.
Charter: The hierarchy is for groups to discuss and announce
local issues and events. It is expected that most groups
will be created in the form: uk.<name>.<area-name> or in
the form: uk.<name>.<area-name>.<subcategory>. Where <name>
is the chosen hierarchy name, <area-name> is the area to
be covered by the group (eg. and <subcategory> can be used
or extended as necessary)
