3) Votetakers Comments

A simple and uneventful vote apart from the raft of votes arriving from one
machine unique in the date they were sent (all from the year 2005, and sent
within a ten minute period from the same IP address). I might have cut them
the benefit of the doubt apart from the obviously example type e-mail
addresses. If these people do use that address everyday (which I could find
no online record off) then their vote may be counted, until then it stands
as an attempt at vote massaging and they are declared Null&Void with
respect to the result.

4) Voting and Appeal guidelines

This vote was conducted by a neutral third party member of UKVoting.
UKVoting is a group of independent votetakers who count votes on CFV's in
the uk hierarchy. The rules under which this vote is taken are posted
regularly to uk.net.news.announce or can be found at the following URL:
ftp://src.doc.ic.ac.uk/usenet/news-info/news.answers/uk/voting

The UKVoting web pages can be found at http://www.ukvoting.org.uk/

There is a five day discussion period after these results are posted to
uk.net.news.announce.

Allegations of irregularity should be sent to control@usenet.org.uk.

5) Charter

uk.local.bristol is for discussion of issues relating to Bristol,
England.

All adverts are forbidden. Short (i.e. under ten lines) announcements
for local events may be posted provided they are non-commercial,
relevant to the Bristol area, and that they are not posted more
frequently than once per month. Such announcements should have a
subject line with the prefix "ANNOUNCE:".

Readers are reminded of the existence of uk.local.southwest.adverts,
where relevant local adverts may be posted.

Messages posted to this newsgroup must not be cross-posted to more
thana TOTAL of four uk.local.* newsgroups; these may be
geographically adjacent or overlapping, or connected by the subject
of the post (e.g. "moving house from Birmingham to Bristol").

Note that the advertising of widely-available goods or services is
*not* relevant in this context, and that most uk.local.* groups
have restrictions on advertising, or prohibit it. Cross-posted
adverts, where allowed, must meet the requirements of the charters
of *all* groups involved.

All posts must be in plain text. Attachments, HTML and other types of
formatted text are not permitted, however short (under four-line)
references to relevant FTP-able material and web URL's are welcome.
